AutoFocus Drive Day – 4 December 2016

February 28, 2017 10:16 pm

Round 2 of our AF drive day was organised for early December, following increased interest from our last drive. Invites were extended to the previous attendees and a few newbies joined us for the morning. We met in a familiar location, west of Sydney, for a ‘meet n greet’ and caffeine injection.

The Clio force was strong.

Setting off for Bells Line of Road, we snaked our way through the mountains for 80-odd kilometres before a pit stop at South Bowenfels to regroup.

From there, it’s straight on to one of AF’s favourite roads, en route to Tarana 🙂

Two of the ‘more experienced’ gentlemen, keeping the young upstarts in check.

This time, we headed south west from Tarana on Mutton Falls Rd towards a new place near Oberon, Mayfield Garden, for an early lunch and general chin-wag.

All-paw bros.

Black hatches were the dirtiest.

After the respite, the group set of to retrace our steps via Tarana and South Bowenfels, before making a turn at McKanes Falls Rd, aiming for our favourite group shot spot.

Another successful drive with great roads, perfect weather and excellent company. What’s better than getting out into the country early on a Sunday morning to spend time with like-minded car enthusiasts?

Keep your eyes peeled for our next drive, in March/April 2017.
