BMW M4

BMW controversially added the M4 nomenclature to the new generation of their iconic mid-size M model, with the purists tut-tutting at the departure from tradition. The F80/82 M series is also the first turbocharged version, further modernising the model and potentially losing one of the best attributes of past M3s – their high-revving, natural aspirated character.

While the change of ‘heart’ is certainly controversial, I think we can all agree the skin of the new M4 is something special. Building on the sleek lines of the 4 series, the M adds aggression in the form of sinewy details and sharp aerodynamic additions.

The famous quad pipes remain.

The first BMW to ever wear this badge.

The interior is all sophisticated business.

The M coloured stitching a nice touch.

The combination of Yas Marina Blue and the striking styling ques of the new M4 are a sight to behold, especially in motion.

As always, there are plenty more photos available on our Flickr page.
