McLaren P1

In early December, McLaren Automotive’s current extraordinary hyper car, the P1, made it to Sydney on its national road trip. Unfortunately, on the Sunday that we went for a look the showroom was closed but we managed to get a decent view through the window.

Not a bad line on it.

Love the hulking rear flanks and the way the ‘boot lid’ area swoops down – it’s all about the aero.

Rear LED strip lights, honeycomb grill and suspension detail.

Carbon fibre errywhere – sleek and minimal.

Solid brake discs and gorgeous 10-spoke wheels. The carbon weave is different sizes depending on application – even the wheel stops are CF!

My favourite of the current hyper cars and absolutely perfect in Volcano Yellow.
